So I received this pack about a week ago. I have used it every single day. It holds a lot and seems to be very high quality for the cost. I always trust High Sierra as I used to always buy their backpacks for school since they lasted forever. I have no doubt this pack will last a long time. I use it as my daily pack for work and errands because I bike and walk everywhere so I need a pack that holds a decent amount of stuff. The chest and waist straps feel great and reduce the feeling of the weight well. The shoulder straps are comfortable. I had no idea it came with its own rain cover as well, which definitely works very well since I was walking in the rain for an hour the other day, and it kept every bit of water off the pack. This is definitely way more than I expected for $60. I will also use it for my shorter camping/backpacking trips. I will update my review once I've had the chance to really test it out good. So far it's a very good deal and seems like it will hold up very well for a long time.

    UPDATE:
So I think I've had this pack now for a couple of years about. I only use it as a work pack since it is strong and durable. It isn't comfy enough for backpacking unfortunately. I have put it through the wringer in two years though and aside from being dirty, nothing has broke and the stitching hasn't even started to degrade. I'm surprised it has taken the abuse it has and is still in perfect working condition. Once again, a great pack for running errands and around town for groceries or whatever, but I wouldn't take it hiking due to its weight and uncomfortableness with more than 25 pounds in it.

This makes for a great day trip bag for more traditional style campers and a good bag for ultralighters looking to stay small. I fit my hammock, blanket, underquilt in the bag easily with room for my cook set, rain gear and a change of clothes. I'm a big guy at 6ft 280lbs and it fits me well on the waist but a little tight in the chest which isn't a bad thing here. It only has top access to the main compartment which can be challenging but if you pack your bag right it's no big deal.

It's a good pack - fits well, extremely comfortable, durable material and build, and very beautiful color! There is a hydration sleeve inside and it's hard to insert when the pack is full but it definitely still feels comfortable. I use a 2L Camelbak Antidote. I really liked how the pack had two different drawstring parts at the top. That way, you could cinch the first one when you filed the pack and the second if you had any overflow. The brain is adjustable as well ash the pack overall rides very well.

One flaw is that the drawstring on top broke and frayed right when I tried it the first time. It was pretty easy to put back together and tie the string off so it wasn't a problem.

I would have loved to keep this pack but it wasn't the right size for me. I would say this pack is good for a daypack and up to one night. I tend to like bigger packs for overnight so that I can use it for at least up to three nights if I want. I also like a smaller daypack. If you are like me and want a backpack with a versatile size, this is not for you. But if you are considering this size, it's a great pack and can hold it's own with other more expensive packs. A great pack for an unbeatable price!

This is a nice backpack for the price. However, I only give it a 2 star bc of its lack of pockets. There are only 2 mesh pockets on the outside and 1 giant compartment on the inside. It would be very hard to get to anything in your bag. It doesn't suit my needs and I will be returning it

This was ok for a first timer backpacker. I took it on a 4 day backcountry hike. It would be nice if the straps for the sleeping bag were clips. My bag kept slipping out and it was hard to put in. Also i dont think it adjusted high enough for me on the shoulders. The chest strap did come unattatched once. My husband was able to reattach. It stayed after that. The rain cover didnt completely cover the pack and once the raincover got wet the rain penetrated through my pack. Everything was in waterproof bags in my pack. Otherwise everything would have been soaked. I may demote this to a day pack. This bag was put to the test with 30-35lb of equipment, sleet, snow and rain. I would like my next bag to have places on the belt and straps for water and other small essentials.

I used this backpack to go backpacking in europe. It was perfect and held enough clothes for 2 weeks. After a few hours of walking with the backpack my back started to hurt but then i tightened the straps and the backpack had great support for my back. It was perfect size for all airplanes in US, UK and europe as i was not charged anywhere for the size of the bag. It also fit in every hostel locker that i went to; any bigger and i probably would have had to leave it out of the locker. The backpack is very durable and has alot of compartments. I would def buy this brand again.

This was AWESOME. I'm 63 years old and needed something that, I HOPED, would be comfortable for hiking Half Dome. I wore it all day and it never got cumbersome or sloppy. There's plenty of room for more gear than I took, so if we decide to hike that area again, it'll likely be a 3 day adventure and two overnight camp outs. I'm pretty sure I can get all the stuff I'll need for that into this pack, although it's really designed for day packing. We'll see!

Great bag for what you pay. I paid $77, so getting this with the included hideaway rain cover is a steal. Shoulder straps could be made better but other than that it's well worth the money. Took it on the fundy footpath and had no problems.
