bought it for the beach and it held up against sand. was able to fit a lot more in there than i expected. now i use it exclusively for medium sized electronics (Nintendo Switch, iPad) because it seems to be water-deterrent. my mom immediately wanted one for herself and she uses hers every day.

tried using it for college and imo it wasn't designed to carry as much weight as i needed a book bag to. but if you travel light and/or don't carry a lot, it should be fine.

i wanted one for so long and now i finally have one!! they are so stylish!

I love the Ochre Fjallraven Kanken Classic Backpack I purchased. I am currently not actively using it. I am passively using it as mask storage. I plan to use it for my next outdoor excursion. Whenever I go hiking or engage in any river sports, this is the bag I choose. It is supremely durable and repels water. I highly suggest buying and using some Fjallraven wax, using it, and letting it dry before exposing it to rough outdoor elements. It will protect the bag really well and insure it from incurring any rough damage. I love the Fjallraven fox patch! It is super cute and reflective. The handles are a nice ergonomic touch. They are easy to grip and hold onto. The backpack straps are nice and easy on my shoulders and chest. If I ever decide they are not, Fjallraven sells attachable pads to help out with that. Fjallraven customer service is excellent too. These bags come in a wide variety of colors to choose from. If I got some different colors, I think I would splurge on Brick, Fog and maybe Black as well. This bag would make for an all around excellent gift to anyone. I highly recommend this product.

I got this as a gift for my 13-y-o niece, and I guess I was too late, as according to her, Fjallraven backpacks are “last summer.” Anyway, the return window closed before she finally spoke up and so I took it and have yet to use it, but I do like the size, esp since it fits my 13” MacBook Air, even if it is in its padded sleeve. Hopefully, the even distribution of weight makes up for the rather skimpy and unpadded straps, and the special water-resistant fabric is why the fabric performs better than it looks. I always heard about how fancy these backpacks are, but never saw the inside of one, so when i finally got a look at this one, I wondered if I’d gotten a fake. But no. This is it. This is the backpack you see at Nordstrom, and it is very plain and simple.

I've seen this bag all over tumblr. Especially the ochre (the one I got). I've been hesitant to buy a bag this pricy, but after literally a year of wanting one I've decided to finally man up and get one. After it arrived I couldn't believe it. This is such a beautiful backpack! The color is gorgeous. Although when I first opened up the package my heart sunk, "...it's so small," I thought to myself. I wanted to use this as a school backpack and as a student, there is nothing worse than a tiny backpack. I kept it around though, holding on to hopes that I may be able to manage using this for something. I got all of my school supplies and then some and started trying to put it into my bag. One by one as I put all of my folders, notebooks, binders, pens, etc. in I noticed that this baby sized bag was able to hold a ton of stuff. After I filled it with everything I still had plenty of room. I'm the type of student who uses a lot of supplies too so having a bag that can fit all of my stuff is a first for me. I can tell this was made for students given the rectangular notebook-style shape. After putting it on and adjusting the shoulder straps the bag was really comfortable. The type of straps they used aren't cushioned so I was a bit worried but not anymore. Also the small size didn't look funny on my back which is very very nice, although I am a small person so I'd keep that in mind. At any rate, this bag has exceeded my expectations. I highly encourage anyone willing to spend the extra money to buy this.
