I have always owned Rockport boots and loved them.Rockports last forever and fit much better in larger sizes than these timberlands do. Stitching seems cheap for a hundred dollar pair of boots but I guess time will tell how long they last.

Luckily I was able to buy these boots before the price went up and purchased the black boots for $55 rather than $100+. Anyway the shaft of the boots are narrow and so you'll just need to really loosen the laces when putting these on but they're really comfortable and when I initially bought them the dark brown color wasn't available and I bought a black pair of boots but am seriously considering getting the dark brown. The main attribute is that these boots have a very comfortable sole and the only downside is that it'll just take some effort to loosen these before putting them on and pulling the laces tight may be slightly painful because of the material they're made of. The only other thing is that when I purchased the black boots they came with an extra pair of red laces.

Really comfortable boot. ordered a half size smaller, as I do with all boots I buy, and the fit is perfect. If your looking a boot that looks like a boot, but that also can double as dress up or casual dress up, this is it. A lot more versatile than Dr Martens in my opinion. I only gave it four stars because I definitely have concerns about its durability. The stitching on the boot does not seem all that secure or well designed. Also, the coloring of the burgundy seems a little blotchy, not like it was intentional but rather that it was poorly done, and there was some coloring that spilled over on to the upper part of the sole. Overall really nice boot despite its shortcomings, would definitely buy these again.

Besides the leather making it hard to slip on and off they are so comfortable to wear. I wear them riding my scooter and sometimes at work. Even with the granite flooring it is still really comfy to wear. That is, once I had broken them in.

These are beautiful boots but feel far short of what I needed them to be.

I agree with other reviewers who questioned the lifespan of the unlined leather shaft. Not only did it seem "flimsy" but it made pulling these things on very very hard. I noticed that the thin laces were put through un-grommeted holes in the leather which makes for a dicey combination.

On the color, perfect chocolate lab brown. Only gripe there is that the leather on my particular pair was a bit "shinny" and flat, unlike the product picture.

Honestly I could have lived with all of the above but it was the fit that made me send them back. Based on other reviewers I ordered the 11 Wide. My big toe sat in the right spot but everything else was a pain. The arch in the foot bed was about 2 inches too far toward the toe and while the insole width was nice, there was a narrow pinch along the balls of the foot.

I really, really wanted these. Oh, well, hope yours fit better then mine!

Pflege und Verwendung: Ich habe das Leder selbstverständlich regelmäßig gepflegt und geputzt. Dennoch kamen die Schuhe durchaus auch manchmal in "unangenehmen" Umgebungen mit z. T. Scherben und Ölen zum Einsatz. Ich trage sie im Sommer weniger und im Winter häufiger, aber im Schnitt circa ein bis zweimal die Woche und dann für den gesamten Arbeitstag.

Status heute: Die Sohle zeigt am Fersenende ein wenig Abnutzung und das Leder der Schuhspitze ist ein wenig abgenutzt. Aber alles in allem hatte ich bisher keinen Schuh der sich über so lange Zeit so gut gehalten hat. Der Tragekomfort wird mit jedem Tag besser und das Leder passt sich perfekt an den eigenen Fuß an. Zudem ist das Modell zeitlos und kann zu vielen verschiedenen Hosen und Jacken getragen werden.

Ich bin voll und ganz zufrieden und würde mir den Schuh sofort wieder kaufen! Deswegen 5 Sterne :)
