I read a review that complained that the charging dock was bad and he could not tell when it was charging and I disagree with that. I find that it is POSSIBLE to move the mouse in such a way within the dock to make it so it does not charge, but gravity will typically guide it to the charging position every time. Also, it is quite easy to see that it is charging by the red dot on the side. Maybe that was something they fixed recently?
About the only thing I can say negative is that if you have this mouse and your significant other is a bit "technically challenged" you may have to make some concessions to keep them from telling you what a "piece of garbage" this mouse is. I find that when you are going to be away from your computer for a while and they might use your computer, simply plug the mouse directly into the wire for ease of use for them. This will avoid any unpleasantness that may have otherwise occurred. Also, it will charge too. Sometimes it just takes a moment for the base to recognize the mouse and start to work. A moment which is all some folks need to start complaining about how I wasted my money with this mouse. Technology folks. It is not for everyone.
Update:
I bought the best mouse I've ever had. Made specifically for WoW (World of Warcraft) a gaming mouse with 11 buttons on it. It can be Wired or Wireless, has built in lifetime batteries, with a Docking Station for recharging when not in use. Mouse and Docking Station has Soft Blue LED lighting for use in the dark. I'm not a big time gamer, but I do like this mouse. It puts a Logitech or Microsoft mouse to shame
Update: There has been some negative reviews here.
So an update on my experince. Sometimes the mouse will stop working, it is because it's battery is DEAD. When it stops unplug the Cord and plug straight the mouse. This will get the mouse working again and charge it back up. Once the charging has a good start replug the base back up and keep the mouse 0n it when not in use to keep it charged. If you use it till it is completely dead, this is the only way to get it going again. If it is acting weird the battery is nearly dead is the only problem. Plug the USB Cord straight to the mouse and it WILL RECHARGE while you use it. I know it is wireless, but if it is completely dead having it wired is the only way to recharge it. It needs at least a partial charge before the base will recharge it ;)
I still say it is the best mouse I ever purchased ;)
If I have to be picky I will say the mouse needs to be charged quite often and it can be somehow annoying when you forget to charge it before sleep. Currently I am using it as a wired mouse most of the time so that doesn't bother me too much. Since I am currently afk from WOW so I haven't try the mouse programme and maybe I will update this review when I have time to try those functions.
In short, this is a good enough mouse for gaming and it will be awesome if you are a WOW fan at the same time. And no doubt I will highly recommend this mouse even though it is not the newest model.

So, to make this easier for people, here is how it breaks down:
Pros.
- Easy set up ((download Steelseries software before plugging it in! Your computer will not recognize it without it))
-Fits Hands well ((larger hands are a problem, but for those with smaller hands...this fits nicely!))
-Easy enough to customize for games ((all the programmable buttons!))
-Smooth as silk when using ((easy glide))
-LED intensity and lighting options ((also easy to set up to personal preference))
-able to plug USB into it for those times the battery is low or dead
-Probably the most badass wireless tech you may own besides the phone
Cons.
-Cannot change the LED colours
-Bit one the pricey side ((bought it when it was on sale for $60, normally $120+))
-Sometimes too smooth and hand slips
-limited customization options
-not meant for small hands
